Market and Portfolio Update: The Economy Is (Almost). It Is Looking Different Than It Used To

Optimism is high as we begin to see the US Economy open up and show signs of regaining some normalcy. Neil Irwin, a senior economics correspondent for The New York Times, states “the recovery is profoundly unequal across sectors, unbalanced in ways that have big implications for businesses and works.”

We are recovering, but there will be areas of the US Economy that are permanently changed with big winners and big losers. Hope you enjoy Neil’s take on how we will emerge from COVID – click here to view the article.

This Is Life:  Brainworks , Wednesday, May 26th @ 10:30AM

Thank you to everyone who attended our Managing Stress For Success webinar. In my discussions with clients, the feedback has been very interesting. We all assume once we retire our level of stress will diminish. The stress of our jobs is no longer a part of our lives … Life should be easier right? BUT “job” related stress gets replaced with other challenges as you settle into a world not dictated by a 9 to 5 schedule. Stress is manageable. Please click here for a copy of the material we covered.

Our Brainworks webinar will be a nice compliment to managing stress and adjusting to the changes we experience daily. The better you understand how your brain works, the easier it becomes to effect positive change and improvements to your day-to-day life. A healthier mind contributes to a healthier body, and eventually a healthier and more balanced lifestyle. Our next webinar on your brain and how it works will provide more insight into our goal of providing you tools that complement your retirement and personal lifestyle. How do we deal with the “brain drain” of Aging, Multitasking, Work, Retirement, Money, Kids, and the Stock Market. The material provided by Lindsay Troxell of Knowledge Labs has some executable, simple ideas for staying sharp, focused, more productive with a healthier and stronger brain.

This program was developed in partnership with Dr. Heidi Hanna, a New York Times bestselling author of several books, including “The Sharp Solution,” “Stressaholic” and “Recharge.” Heidi is the “Chief Energy Officer” of Synergy Brain Fitness, the Founding Partner of the Academy for Brain Health and Performance and a Fellow and Advisory Board Member for the American Institute of Stress. Heidi is a performance coach, keynote speaker and nutritionist specializing in applying the science of personal energy management, health and wellness to improving business performance.

Required Minimum Distributions (RMDs): Watch Out For This Double Whammy

If you think Required Minimum Distributions (RMDs) are just a minor nuisance that you can safely ignore, think again……

Bill Bischoff is a tax columnist for Marketwatch. He does a very nice job of explaining the nuances of RMDs. Please click here for access to his April 29th, 2021 article.

As always, we are very appreciative of the support, trust, and friendships we have with each and every one of our relationships. Thank you!
